From San Francisco comes Get Dead. Born out of several CA based acts, this five-piece was drawn together by their appeal to jaw-gnashing, punk infused rock and roll riffs, as well as their common propensity to say fuck the bullshit. With their driven, no frills approach to punk music and commitment to face-pealing shows, they have garnered a dedicated fan base that's eager for more. Continuous touring of the Western U. S., as well as sharing the stage with bands like Swingin' Utters, Dead to Me, TSOL, and Guttermouth, has honed the group from local dive bar favorite to a professional touring act. After releasing their first electric album, the widely acclaimed 'Forged In The Furnace Of Rad' on a small indie label, they proved there versatility with the follow-up DIY acoustic album, “Letters Home,” which received wide underground press and placed the group on many top ten lists of unsigned bands to watch. When asked by a European publication why the group chose to do an acoustic record versus an electric, they stated they simply didn't have the funds to produce the electric album they felt they could make. After a year of hustling they’ve positioned themselves to make their self-titled debut which was recorded at Motor Studios. The album was produced and engineered by renowned duo Jamie McMann and Josh Garcia who were able to capture the intensity with which the tracks were written. With three releases under their belt Get Dead is hitting the ground running and already have another acoustic record, and electric album in the works. The band looks forward to 2011 when they plan a U.S. tour as well as jumping across the pond for European exposure.
