Bio
The perfect balance between melody and aggression, light and shade. Fragile yet brutal. The music straddles the fence between pop and metal, never sacrificing one for the other. Jacqueline van Bierk's soothing, caressing vocals float sensually above the often muscular
musical landscape; providing the velvet glove to the instruments' pumping fist.
Otto's Daughter's sound has evolved from raw goth/industrial sound {as heard on their previous releases "Void of Course" and "Renew"},
to a tantalizing, erotic, dance rock maelstrom. OD was formed in NYC, and relocated to L.A. in 2003.
In summer of 2005, OD released their 5 song EP "The Becoming 001". The EP is getting positive response from the press as well as from their fans from all over the world via the internet and Myspace.
OD is pure energy.Physical.Aggressive.Jacqueline rides the sonic OD wave at the edge of the stage; - at the edge of something beautiful.
The band is currently back in the studio working on their new full length album titled "A new kind of Heroine" to be released in spring 2007.
